BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

Admission P= rices:
1. Single Game Sessions: Adults - $6.00 Students - $4.00 (Gr. = 7-12 w/ASB) - Feb. 16
2. Two or more games: Adults - $7.00 Students - $5.00 (Gr. = 7-12 w/ASB) - Feb. 19, 23 & 26
3. Students must present a valid ASB card otherwise they must pay adult prices.
4. Senior Citizens presenting the proper I.= D. will be admitted at student prices.
5. League and Golden Age passes WILL NOT be honored.
6. School Board Passes – Complimentary School Board member passes will be honored.
7. Gates will be open at least 45 minutes before game time.
Conduct of Students, Community and School Personnel:
1. The Principal or their design= ee of each high school is responsible for the conduct of his/her students and the adult community.
2. Each participating high school is required to furnish staff supervision for it’s cheering section
&nb= sp; (10 max.)
3. Supervisors will be issued na= me tags and are expected to wear then for easy identification. At least one supervisor should be = in attendance when doors open to help in seating your crowd.
4. Game Supervision Pass List= must be faxed or e-mailed to s= ite managers no later than 3:00 pm Mon= day, February 15th. (They will sign the list next to their name: TBA will be unacceptable).
Pass List:<= /u> &= nbsp; = p>
1. 3 Coaches
2. 12 Players
3. 3 Support Personnel (managers, trainer, stats)
4. 10 Supervisors
5. Please put your bus driver’s name = on the supervisors list.
6. Cheerleaders in uniform with one advisor= .
7. Participating players, managers, trainer= s, scorekeepers, coaches and supervisors enter the gym through the pass gate.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> (Roster will be used for team, coa= ches and support personnel.)
8. A maximum of two (2) coaches from any le= ague school not participating in the District Tournament will be allowed to atte= nd any/all tournament contests free of charge. They must contact the tournament m= anager prior to the contest in order to have names placed on supervisors pass list=
9. Pass gate at Zillah Alumni Gym will be at the main entrance
District Program:
1. Zillah High School is respons= ible for the programs for the tournament.
2. Team Rosters for District Pro= gram due by Friday, February 12th or earlier if possible.
3. Final Overall and League Reco= rd due by Monday, February 15.
4. Send team rosters for the 1st
round to the home site manager.
Team Benches/Warm-up:
&nb= sp; The tournament manager will assign team benches. Players/Teams may use the playing = court and goals for warm-up only during the 20 minutes prior to the game in wh= ich they are about to play. = span>
Locker Rooms:
&nb= sp; Teams will be assigned locker rooms when they arrive. Towels WILL NOT be furnished= .

erseys:
&nb= sp; Each participating team must be equipped with two sets of jerseys of contrasting colors. The “home”= ; team will be on the bottom of the bracket and wear “light” jerseys.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> Teams on the top of the bracket ar= e the guest or “away” and wear “dark” jerseys.
E= ligibility:
&nb= sp; Each team may suit up no more than 12 players.&= nbsp; Team eligibility lists need not be forwarded to the tournament manag= er but remain the responsibility of the building principal to be on file and available upon request. Failu= re to comply shall constitute a school violation and subject to penalty.
Tournament:
&n=
bsp; The
tournament will be an eight-team, modified double-elimination tournament. THREE
teams will qualify for the state tournament as per the allocations in the
2009-10 state guidelines. The=
top
place finisher will be the District 5 Champion.
Band and Drill Teams:
Schools des= iring to have their pep bands or drill team at one or more sessions must contact = the tournament manager for permission by Monday, February 15th. Bands, when so approved, will be admitted free (maximum 50 members) with instruments and under the di= rect supervision of the adult band director.&nb= sp; Musical instruments are not to be used as noisemakers. The tournament manager may limit t= he number of bands or drill teams and that decision is final. Please make arrangements for drums= and electronic equipment.
If your dri= ll team wishes to perform at any of the contests, you must contact the tournam= ent manager by Friday, February 12th.
&= nbsp; 1. Band and Drill Team busses wi= ll park in the area designated by site manager.
2. Band Directors will contact site manager before entering the gym area.
Pep banners,
signs (other then one official school banner), confetti and mechanical
noisemakers (including band instruments used as noise makers) are not to be
permitted at the tournament.
Megaphones may be used by uniformed official school cheerleaders, only. Shakers and pompoms must be of the
plastic, non-shedding type.
Bus Parking (Zillah Alumni Gym):= u>
1. The bus drop-off area is the back, north= west end of the gym. All busses sh= ould park behind the gym, on the east side.
Follow W.I.= I.A. policy.
The charge = for radio broadcasting is $50.00 per day per tournament, regardless of the numb= er of games broadcast.
The Tournam= ent Manager will make specific game assignments from the block of officials assigned to each tournament date. Tournament managers will n= ot alter assignments in response to requests from coaches or school administrators.
Concessions= will be available.
There will = be tables set up in the commons for dining.
A hospitali= ty room will be located in the back(north) hallway of the gym. This room will be for coaches, administrators, and officials only.
