WARM-UP NOTES:

1.     All 10 lanes will be available for swimming warm-ups on Friday.  On Saturday, there will be only 7 lanes available for swimming warm-ups until 11:25 AM and no backstroke flags at the starting end of the pool because of concurrent diving warm-ups.  At the conclusion of diving warm-ups on Saturday at 11:20 AM, the backstroke flags and lane markers removed for diving warm-ups will be replaced and there will be an additional 20 minute  warm-up session open to all teams (11:25 – 11:45 AM).

2.     Teams will be assigned to a specific warm-up session and lane(s) following receipt of all entries based on # of swimmers entered in the meet.  All 2A and 1A schools will be assigned to Session 1.  Most 4A schools will be assigned to Session 2; however, a few 4A schools will be assigned to Session 1 to more evenly divide the teams and the number of swimmers between the 2 warm-up sessions.

3.     During the finals on Saturday, there will be a 20 minute warm-up for divers after Event #4.  Lanes 8, 9, and 10 will be open at this time for swimmers to warm-up/cool down.  After the diving finals (last 3 dives), there will be another 20 minute warm-up for swimmers before Event #6.

Dual Classification:

·         2A/1A schools will score and compete against each other.

·         4A schools will score and compete against each other.

·         Sixteen place scoring will be in effect for consolation and finals for all events, including relays.

State Meet Qualifying:

ALLOCATION:  Athletes can advance to STATE COMPETITION by allocation or by meeting the state-qualifying standard.  Qualifying by allocation is determined by finish place, not the fastest time.  Each team with athletes advancing to state by either method MUST fill out a STATE MEET MASTER ENTRY FORM and submit to the meet director at the completion of the meet.  Divers must also submit their dive sheet for state.  Upon request the meet director shall provide a copy of the state meet master entry form to the coach.

·         Individual Allocations (2A/1A): 2

·         Relay Allocations (2A/1A): 2

·         Individual Allocations (4A): 2

·         Relay Allocations (4A): 2

District Meet Entries:

·         Each team is allowed two (2) allocations per individual event.

·         The two allocations are NOT in addition to any entries, which meet the district qualifying time standard.

·         Each team is allowed a maximum of four (4) entries, including potential wildcards, in each individual event and one (1) in each relay event.

·         In the event that there are less than 20 qualifiers for preliminaries, wildcards will be drawn up to the point where there are 20 participants (if possible) per swimming event.  Coaches will circle those athletes on their entry cards who have not met the qualifying standards, but are potential wildcards.  COACHES:  Only official meet times are acceptable as entry times and the honesty rule is to be strictly adhered to.

·         All third (3rd) and fourth (4th) team entries in individual event that do not meet the qualifying standard are wild card entries and must be circled on the entry form.

·         Coaches will be notified by telephone which wildcard entries are accepted by Wednesday, February 3, 2010

·         All divers must have a legal 11-dive entry sheet and have participated in an 11-dive meet.  (REGARDLESS OF DISTRICT ALLOCATIONS).
